چکیده
Factors including suburethral blood flow impairment, collagen deficiency, and the lack of tissue healing factors are known to play a role in stress urinary incontinence (SUI). Autologous fibrin (AF) appears be viable material for treatment SUI. The aim this study was present initial clinical outcomes novel technique named “Demirtas? Erciyes-Mid Urethral Fibrin Fixation Technique (DE-MUFFT)” that involved placement AF space instead sling (mesh). In study, five women with pure SUI who underwent were examined retrospectively. complaint urine leakage during physical exertion patients’ quality life assessed using Incontinence Quality Life Scale (I-QoL), International Consultation on Questionnaire-Urinary Short Form (ICIQ-UI SF), Impact Questionnaire (IIQ-7), 24-h pad test. Patient evaluated preoperatively, at sixth week third month postoperatively. Significant improvement obtained quality-of-life tests all patients, disappeared almost completely. No adverse event or postoperative complication occurred any patients. These results indicated DE-MUFFT can promising procedure due its biocompatibility, minimally invasive nature, re-applicability, cost-effectivity.
